Default trackpad / mouse does not work sometimes

    HI guys!

Sometimes (1 out of 10x turning my mini on) I log into XP and as soon as it loads the desktop I cannot use the trackpad to scroll my mouse. If I plug in my wireless USB mouse it will work, but then I realize my keyboard is not functional. To fix this issue, I simply restart my mini note and it works as normal again for the next 10x or so.

Anyone else have this problem? I have all of the drivers update and everything else works perfectly.

Another thing, I just put 2GB of ram in my mini and it seems like it freezes more often? i purchased kingston ram from someone online and picked it up in person. anyone else notice the same thing, or could it be possible the ram i bought is not functioning properly?

This is also happening to me in the UK.

    Mine is a 1200MHz, 1GB, XP Pro.

I think XP Pro is the common factor here. I used the free XP "downgrade" disks they posted out to me. Anyone thing something on the image of these disks is a bit corrupted maybe?

    Many thanks,

    Trevor.

I didn't use downgrade discs, I have my own version of Windows XP from MSDN

OK, so its not the image on the HP supplied XP Pro cd's, so it must be some sort of driver issue somewhere. Time for someone to get onto HP's support and hopefully a patch will be released.

I've had the touchpad and keyboard both not work once (separate times). Rebooting the device seem to fix the problem. I figured that a driver didn't load properly...
