| I just bought an HP Mini 1000 with a 16GB SSD. Can anyone tell me which 32-bit version of Windows 7 I should install on it? I know there is a lot of info online about installing Windows 7 but all the guides seem to have been created when it was in Beta and there was only one version then. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide. Bloome |

| The home basic or premium version seems to be appropriate for most people, so unless you have specific needs either version should suffice, the difference seems to be partial aero support, no homegroup management and lack of media center (that i not exactly indispensable). There is also the issue of price difference, as far as performance go, i think any version should work fine in your machine. Look at the comparison chart here for more info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7_editions The one you really not want is starter. The problem i see with your system is the 16 GB of storage, since that is the minimum requirement for the 32 bit version. |
