Default HP 2133 windows7 ultimate install & problems

    HP 2133 windows7 ultimate install & problems.

I had windows XP on my HP 2133 Netbook. On the other partition I installed windows 7 Ultimate RC.
The windows 7 install was very good en was quick and responsive. (I thought that windows update installed the necessary drivers!/video driver)

Recently I bought Windows 7 Ultimate. Made my usb stick bootable copied the DVD files en clean installed windows 7 ultimate (and a 2nd time!). Windows update provided no video driver, no chipset driver. Installed the hp-site vista driver and Microsoft security essentials. This Windows 7 install now seems much slower than the RC.

    Problem:
I wanted to install office 2007. Stopped the install after 45 min’s. Every software installation is very very slow. Cannot complete the Experience index. When Windows 7 is starting there is no animated windows logo and Starting Windows text. It feels like something is not functioning well.

Which additional drivers did you install!
Do you have a video driver from windows update?
    Am I doing something wrong?

Seem like Microsoft Security Essentials is the cause on my system.

Who has an HP2133 with Windows7 release and MSE working good?

I have W7U installed with MSE. Mine is pretty snappy. I do not know why you did not find the video driver in Windows update Look around this forum for the link to the video driver. Until you get the W7 driver, your system will be slow. I too came from the XP, did the bootable USB sd card thing and have NO issues.
