| Hi! I've installed windows7 on my hp 2140 and everything works fine, but the driveguard doesn't seem to work right. the icon is displayed in the tray and the status shows that it's enabled for the harddrive but i never get the red hard-drive status light that i used to get when shaking the netbook (which indicates that the harddrive is shut off- *i assume*) has anyone experienced that? and what would happen if say the driveguard doesn't work, i mean will the drive brake more easily or is it just to prevent any possible data loss?? thanks! |

Or if he will release the source code to Win-7, perhaps we could fix it ourselves. Until then, just file a bug report with HP & MS. | ||

| Here's a link to how to get it to work or you can wait for HP to release a fix when Win 7 is released. http://www.sevenforums.com/drivers/8...tectsmart.html |
