    Default Windows 7 Shutdown Hangs

I've installed build 7000 and have the video drivers and latest updates for everything. If I do Start>Shutdown then I get to the blue screen where it tells me its logging off and then it stays like that indefinately, but by logging off and ending my session and then shutting it down I have no problems. Does anybody else have this issue? It's only a mild annoyance really but if anyone has solutions I'd love to hear them.

there are a few users over on the windows 7 forums having a similar issue but so far no fix has been posted

i would venture a guess that it is a problem with SATA drives but honestly i dont know

Which ones? Did you allow windows 7 to update/install all the drivers or did you manually install some vista drivers? Also, does this hang happen from the install with no other apps?

I installed the sound and the video drivers from the vista support, all the rest was pre-configured or from Windows Update

I fixed the problem by manually updating Kaspersky AV, looked like there was a problem with a process related to it, which oddly enough allowed me to end my session and log off, but not shut down. I filed a bug report for it so I'm sure Microsoft or Kaspersky will look into it before the final release.

Thanks anyway for your help guys! Good to know it wasn't the fault of the mininote!
