HP2133 SUSE 10 Recovery DVD ISO Download Link - Removed

Anyone know if the 2133 SUSE DVD works on a 2140?

I doubt the DVD will work on the 2140 since the CPU and quite a few of the drivers are different. You can always be the first to try it out. I didn't even try SUSE 10 on my original 2133 for more than 30 minutes before wiping it out and installing Windows XP Pro. :lol:

Dude you are a star, got mine off HP and its still SLED SP1 not SP2...Are your discs the SP2 ver?

The first thing I did with my new HP2140 was to load Acronis True Image software and create an image of the hard drive. If I ever need to get back to my original shipped condition I will just load the image and remove Acronis True Image.

For my Windows XP Pro install, I've installed Macrium Reflect Free Edition, which creates a backup image just like Acronis True Image, but it's free.

The Recovery DVD linked on this thread is for the original SUSE 10 linux install that came with the 2133, not for Windows.

No idea. The DVD is titled "System Recovery DVD SLED 10 Linux". I also didn't bother playing with the original install much nor did I do any updates.

I've made an ISO of my HP 2133 SUSE 10 Recovery DVD and uploaded it to my server here. The ISO file is 2.7GB and you will need to burn it to a DVD, then boot off the DVD to recover the Hard Drive.

As far as I can remember, it will recover the whole drive only. There is no way to select a specific partition, but I may be wrong as I've only done it once.
