Hi!
I've had my HP 2140 for almost a month now and I'm really enjoying the netbook. I recently installed Windows 7 over the original OS, Windows XP.
I just today received my invitation to demo the Jolicloud OS. I'm really excited, and I'm thinking about making the 2140 dual-boot since I've only had Windows 7 for a few days, and would not like to stray too far from Windows while I venture into new territory.
Has anyone else been able to demo the OS on their mini? The website says it's been tested on the 1000...looking for feedback, tips, tricks, pitfalls, etc.
Cheers!

Can someone post link to that project I would like to see it ?
Google knows where it is. Or you could just guess:
http://www.jolicloud.com/
Sorry I thought it was Jolicious not Jolicloud so that was a reason I didnt found it.ops:
The little stats counter on the left says: 1,208 posts - it doesn't say if any of them are worth reading.![]()

From first look it looks like netbook remix with added "cloud" options.
If someone will install it on 2133 pleas tell is it working fast because I once booted netbook remix and it was working slow on 2133.
Already installed it (coud´t wait untill weekend) and the instalation was quite easy and quick.
The OS however is painfully slow, i hope there is a way to improve this, the problem seems to be it does not recognize the CPU and the generic driver or whatever it uses is not efficient, it uses around 70% of CPU just by doing nothing.
This seems like a very promising OS however, its still in alpha but inmediately, without any config or anything, recognized WiFi and connected me to internet (puppy requiered quite a lot of work for this), blutooth worked instantly too, and recognized my mogo mouse.
The SD slot works as well as sound, i have not tested the webcam or mic, but it seems to address the main problems of other linux distros (WiFi particullary), and the interface is nice an easy to use.
If there is a way to get it working at an adecuate speed this will be a winner for sure.
I just recieved my Invite aswell. I am thinking of trying an install even though the HP Mini Note 2133-model is not yet officially supported.
Hoping for VIA-support.
I will report back if I install the OS.
