Before I decide whether or not I try to mess around with XRandR and Jaunty I wonder if anyone has already tried.

So - does anyone have XRandR working with 9.04. If so, how did you do it? If not, have you tried? Why did you give up? (I am thinking of trying the hack on the Gentoo wiki to use the 8.10 binary drivers, but if anyone's already done it and has an advice let me know)

Failing XRandR, do people have good external monitor setups on Jaunty? If so, can you share any tips/ mention anything special that was required.

By the lack of people talking about it I had assumed it'd just work, but it doesn't seem to for me, unless I'm missing something obvious?
