Most of the function keys worked right away and wireless was my only problem other than that but everything is working now.
Zenwalk doesn't use the kernel 2.6.25? in my humble opinion the advantage in the Debian related distros is the possibility of installing new kernels with functions like a driver for the accelerometer sensor or maybe new drivers for video chipset...

I'm a new 2133 user... my experience is with linux servers and in that "world" the hardware isn't limited.

Pd: Gadget: if you have a semi step by step guide for the zenwalk installation or a guide for the hardware configuration I happily try that distro.

    Zenwalk 5.4 uses kernel 2.6.27.10

I used the Standard disk on a USB with UNETBOOTIN to install onto the HP.
After partitioning and formatting the drive I extracted the ISO to the hard drive and installed from there.

My wireless/screensaver/offline problem is still unsolved. I have removed my data-file and have configured everything new. Meaning only the openchrome driver... Because wireless is working with the build-in driver "b43"... No Broadcom (broadcom-5.10.27.6-k2.6.25.16.pet) driver installed... Works like before, online until screensaver starts...
Never mind, meanwhile I have installed Ubuntu and I use Puppy sporadic only (booted from a SD-Card).

Gadget, thank you very much for your help!
