It's basically the stable 83-242 source with libpciaccess changes needed for X Server 1.5.
I've tried to compile this package for X11R7 on both Ubuntu Hardy and Intrepid and on both I don't get through the configure script w/o errors. In both cases I had to install the libtool package (no problem) but then I get different errors from 'configure':

    Hardy:
    ./configure: line 20662: `XORG_DRIVER_CHECK_EXT(XINERAMA, xineramaproto)'

    Intrepid
configure.ac: line 117: error: possibly undefined macro: AC_SUBST

I'd obviously prefer to build on Intrepid given that's where I'd like to install this driver.

Can you provide additional directions about how you compiled the package? Or, if the result of the build is a single binary, can you just post that?

    Thanks

    Sorry for the late reply.

Did you take a look at the included README file (mainly section 1.3 under "Compilation and installation")? Hopefully that will sort thing out for you.
