HP Files for "PalmPad" Trademark

HP have recently submitted a trademark application for the term "PalmPad", Engadget reports. Although we can only speculate what this trademark request is for, it's pretty obvious that HP seem to be planning some sort of tablet device, possibly with the webOS they gained the rights to with their acquisition of Palm? HP have been very quiet and totally dissolved the original planned HP Tablet running Windows 7.

Hopefully this means we will see some HP Tablet media arising soon.

It was only a matter of time before the rest of the manufacturers jumped on the band wagon to give Apple something to compete with the itablet. Here's looking forward to what they can bring.
