As with every product there are companies that will charge more for no real reason at all (see monster cables for further reference) son be cautious about paying a lot for memory.
I think there are some real advantages to choosing more expensive memory, but it really depends on what you are gonna do about it, for example there are some ram sticks (for desktops) with passive heat dissipation and that comes in handy for overclocking for example.
In your case (and most laptop users) that kind of "weird" use is not likely to happen, so i recommend an cheap ram upgrade, i did that with my old 2133 and did not have any trouble.
My recommendation would be to get the memory of the speed that is supported by you bios,533 Mhz if my memory serves me well, since i don't think there is any advantage in getting a higher speed that can't be used by the board (why get a Ferrari to drive it at a 10 MPH maximum speed).
