Customized HP 5101 Delivery Time

Called HP about it yesterday to find out what's going on and they were to get back to me today with a response from the warehouse. If they can't get it out before this day next week then I'll have to cancel the order as I'm heading off traveling.

Sure sounds like a deadline to me.

Unless you mean by your post that you called HP but
did not tell them your requirements,
and only included your requirements in your post here (yeah, like that would do any good).

Well they clearly didn't take it as a deadline because they just sent me a delay notification. November 3rd is the new 'estimated' ship date.

I ordered my 5101 on October 6th. HP didn't change anything until the 12th when it updated everything to ship status. I called on the 13th because the line item detail showed no tracking information. They said to wait until the next day (14th) since it was an iternational shipment. I checked on the 14th and it showed it shipped from Shanghai on the 14th - hit Anchorage, AK on the same day. It went through another hop before it hit my local area and was delivered on the morning of the 15th. Website still shows anticipated delivery of the 18th and line items still show November 2nd. Well after much badgering of HP SMB personnel, it apparently shipped today. Estimated Ship Date still listed as November 2nd on Line Items.

YAYYYYY!

It was on a FedEx 2 days so hopefully it'll arrive Thursday. Keep you posted!

Well the saga continues, it turns out it didn't actually ship until the 21st and even though I paid for 2 day FedEx shipping, they shipped it 3 business day....from China! Which means it will be here to late for me.

Long story short, I've told them to turn the package around, cancel the order and refund me as they have refused to upgrade the package to a higher priority to ensure its here on time. The availability dates HP have on their website are just plain wrong!

Time to see if I can get something from eBay.
