I have a 2140, and I want to buy a 3-cell 2133 battery for it. Will it work or not?
The 2133 and the 2140 batteries are interchangeable. I've had a 6 cell 2133 battery, a 3 cell 2140 battery, and a 6 cell 2140 battery. They all worked fine in each machine for me. The 5101 and the 1000 series (the plastic case ones) are completely different though.
IIRC there was mention here a while back that while genuine HP batteries were compatible some of the clone batteries weren't.
