My mini-note died in September '09, 3 months out of warranty. I had always kept it on a cooling fan since it would get so hot. HP has acknowledged that there is a problem with the model...but will not do anything about it....after 10 years as a very loyal HP customer (4 laptops, 3 printers, 2 desktops) I have now gone to Dell for future purchases.

Hi folks.
My 2133 has been dead for 6 months and yesterday I tried the "OVEN TRICK".... I just wrote about it here: Fixed my 2133!
I just found a new motherboard online for $70 (bought pn: 482277-001), installed it in about an hour and now my hp 2133 mini-note works perfect again. The $70 was well worth not having to buy a whole new netbook.
Good Luck!
