I have had a Mini 1000 for a little more than a year and it has recently begun to display some extremely strange behavior.

Primarily that it will run without difficulty off the battery, but will not boot or charge with the AC adaptor. I have swapped out the battery and charger with an identical machine and there they are fully functional.

Any thoughts on exactly which component this failure might be associated with and its repairability?

I have access to a damaged Mini 1015 which might be scavenged for parts and is presently serving as a battery charger for this machine.
