Hi guys
I have downloaded the Windows 7 RC, unzipped and copied the folder contents to a DVD. Know this works because It autoruns on my desktop PC, and offers to install new OS.
On my 2133, I have installed a new 160GB Samsung hybrid drive. (unformatted) I thought all I needed to do was change boot order to USB, put Windows 7 DVD in my external DVD drive and reboot the mininote. However, this does not work. It asks me to check there is media in the boot drive, which there is, and then the bios refuses to do any more.
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? (I've reinstalled the orginal drive (with Vista Business) until I get some clues!)
Thanks in anticipation
hmmmm... Autorun might not mean it is bootable... Usually you need to burn an iso, not copy its contents, as copying will miss vital system hidden files...
Try burning the 7 iso to a disc instead of copying the contents...
