Default No Bluetooth or Express card recognition

I just purchased a 2133 and loaded the XP pro version. I can not seemto get bluetooth to recognize any other device (cell, BT keyboard) and I also can not get my MOGO x54 mouse to charge in the unit. I have loaded all the new drivers but still a no go. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear of your issue. I have a MOGO X54 mouse in my HP2140 and it works just fine other than the mouse optical eye. On mine the eye will not recognize movement on a hard dark wood surface. I was able to get it to work with out any recognition issues by making a mouse pad out of a piece of 'white' paper. I cut the paper to fix inside of my units lid so it acts as a screen protector from the keyboard as well as a mouse pad. I have been able to control my unit from as far away as 10 feet. I have my HP2140 hooked up to a TV to watch DVD movies I have on a external USB hard drive.

I wish I could get my MOGO working. Since this writing I have been able to get my BT working but still no recognition of my MOGO (charge or BT). Guess I will try the card on my dad's laptop to rule out non functioning card.

Have you checked the BIOS setup? Maybe the ExpressCard slot is disabled there.

Haven't looked but that makes sense. Do you know the fn key to get into bios?

Checked BIOS and ExpressCard is turned on. Still no MOGO charging.

Open it up and see if it's even plugged in. Maybe it was built at the end of the shift on the assembly line and it just got missed by all the quality control. I don't know what else to tell you. Did your MOGO work in anoher computer?

I believe you may be right. The mogo works in my dad's LT. I just don't want to bust it open since i have only had it for 3 days.

Well just be careful so you can put it back together. You could always call HP and see if they have any suggestions or take it to a service center.

Actually the Express Card module is directly attached (soldered) and stake riveted to the motherboard. I would not even bother with opening your unit. Report it to HP and ask for a replacement unit less the hard drive, which you can remove pretty easy prior to sending your unit back to them. The SD card module is attached (soldered) and staked riveted to the oposit side of the motherboard.
