apple will most likely blow this one too....we will see
Well, I don't think Apple 'blew it' with the Air, it is all in what you are looking for. They already have the best build quality of any laptop, and I think they could do very well with an ultra-portable.

But I don't think they really want to play in that space. The Macbook and Macbook Pro fill the 'sweet spot' ever so nicely and run Windows better than most PC laptops in the same price range.

    Default But how?

Give us a clue... did you run the Installer from an optical drive, use a bootable SD card, image the harddisk?

I gave up on getting it installed on my MiniNote... but if this is real, I'll give it another shot.

it would definitely be interesting to see what they'd come up with for an umpc though...i don't think they'll let pc take all of the umpc fun either.

I Highly doubt the Via C7 can run OS X. That's probably a remote desktop of a mac.

You are the first person I have seen to do it on a mini-note and I congragulate you, I always planned on trying but had no idea how i'd go about it. If you could make a custom mini-note image, you'd get my cookies

Of course I would use a legit osx disk I have to make an image so long as you helped explain

Mikroft, it is not running remote. Besides, I'm not sure if the remote would work on the bootup, I have no idea though since I've never used it before. They also didn't think AMD could run OSX until it was patched.

norcom, this thread lived up to it's purpose, to serve as a quick teaser. That's all you'll see and that's all you're going to get.

Tim, I can't imagine how long it would take to make a bootable USB image for OSX. Making a bootable image of XP is already bad enough at 1 hour. And using a legit install disk will not work without some extraction and work.

Sorry for the late replies guys. For some reason I couldn't login to the forum before. But I am not offering support for this kind of install. There are plenty of references and tutorials on my blog, underattacker.

    Default okay, whatever

Well, I installed Leopard on my Philishave HQ-5426. Since it doesn't contain a video card, harddisk, Intel instruction set, or RAM it was a bit of a challenge. You're probably all curious about how I managed to install a consumer OS on a pocket shaver, but - sorry - this is just a teaser. I don't have the energy right now to explain how I did it.

and it's people like you who like to waste their time on responses like these that reminds me why i choose not to spend hours on a fully-blown out detailed installation and patch guide. thanks, but try again.
