It would be great if anyone could hack the graphic driver to display a widescreen resolution lower than 1200x800, maybe something around 1024x6xx ... must be a custom resolution since there is no native lower widescreen resolution.
Some guys on the EEE PC hacked the drivers there and everybody seems to be happy ever after.
Surely it would improve the 2133 since everything would be a bit larger on the screen ...![]()

My copy of XP shows 1024x600 in three different flavors.
Check and update your video driver.
mikez,
does it say 1024x600 or 1024x800? Maybe your font is too tiny, so, you can't see the difference- just kidding!

My apologies!
You were correct! The Mini-Note has a 1024x600 resolution - great! I am not sure if it has this resolution too under Vista since I am running on XP, but I bet it does?
There 5 configurations for screen display in my XP Home sp2...

Quite a few more than five, but all of them at 60Hz refresh because of the way the internal hardware is handled.Originally Posted by Junner2003
Turn on the "S3tray" icon which comes with the Chrome9 driver for a big list.
If you go with selecting an "external only" layout - you get even more selections, the choices are from 2048x1536 to 640x480 (or less).
Somewhere around a 100 choices I think.
A better option than lowering resolution would be to adjust the DPI upwards (though this works much better in Vista than XP).Originally Posted by Junner2003
