    Default Crash after Sleep?

Seems fairly consistent at this moment:

Whenever I revive my 2133 from sleep mode, it crashes after about a minute's use. This is, of course, after moving the unit back home from the office, or visa versa (always changing LAN connections by virtue of the move.)

Is this a known problem? Are crashes after sleep mode a known problem in general?

Not, it's not normal nor known in 2133. It might be OS or some software issue - try reinstalling the OS.

I used to have this problem all the time, in my case the whole screen turned purple and the cursor got bigger.

Someone on this forum pointed to the vista service pack 1 as the sourse of the problem, i unintalled it and has not happened again.

If you have service pack installed (for vista not office) i recommend you uninstalled and see what happens.

Well, thanks, but I have located the http://www.hp2133guide.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=548 thread. It is, apparently, very much a known issue. With thanks for your post.

Thank you. I've now found the same thread. SP1 is likely security-related, anyway. These patches seem to offer more problems than solutions, for some reason. I'll give it a shot. The problem is vexing.

Eureka. Microsoft seems to have updated Vista to the point that the 2133 NO LONGER CRASHES AFTER SLEEP. It's been over a year in the offing but worth waiting for. I can finally use my HP2133 Mininote as intended. Thanks MS.

Default Crash after Sleep? resolved through video driver update

I suffered the same problem when I installed Windows 7 (RTM). The solution was to update the video driver
    I downloaded it from

    Good luck
