HP2133 after a Mobo change ?

Hi there, as many others, my HP2133 died on me after 40 days of usage. Was picked up and the mobo changed by the HP tech team.

Anyone who has had a mobo change.... does it last longer after the changes. Any new failure afterwards ?

I think they had a bad batch of hardware which lead to needing to replace the stuff I only saw some people around the same date of purchase have these issues with the MB

What date was that? I've been trying to make a pattern out of the failures and hadn't so far.

not to rain on your parade, but I got mine the early part of May (first week I think)..... so hopefully there was a cutoff and yours is in a different manufacturing batch.....

I bought mine early July from Staples Canada but it was a US product... I guess they got a special deal...i.e. it was probably available in the US earlier than July

:shrug: I'm not the one who made an observation about the timing...

I do know that I waited until they were in stock again at Newegg then ordered.

Who knows. I figure with electronics it's a crapshoot anyway. If yours was already replaced and sent back to you mine has outlasted yours so far...
