I am running windows XP SP2, and my bluetooth device all of a sudden didn't work. I uninstalled it, and tried reinstalling it, but it would always stop towards the end of completion saying "Bluetooth device not found...turn on bluetooth to continue".
Please help.
Cheers!

Try to reinstall whole operating system - if there are no unidentified devices in Device Manager, it might be just Windows XP glitch. Chances of BT module to be faulty are very low.
Did you check if it is disabled in the BIOS?
Is the front right switch on? (The "Wifi" switch also controls the BT)
Here's how I fixed the problem after installing XP Pro:
Install the "HP Wireless Assistant" http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...5&mode=4&idx=3
After rebooting, you'll see a new icon in your system tray that looks like a mini-joystick with green waves. Mouse over that icon and you'll notice that WLAN is ON, but Bluetooth is OFF (even though it's enabled in the BIOS). Right-click and switch on Bluetooth.
Now install the Bluetooth drivers: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...tem=ob-73514-1
You'll see the Bluetooth icon in the system tray.
