Just got my first Mini (2102), with SLED 11 (first Linux, though I've used a few flavors of command-line unix in the past, like SunOS).

I got the wifi/bluetooth (Broadcom combo card),and am trying to figure out if this thing can browse my bluetooth cell phone, so I can grab some JPGs taken on the phone cam.

I can get the phone to recognize and pair with the Mini, but I can't get the Mini to see the phone for some reason. I found someutility (can't remember offhand), that seemed to indicate capabilities like wireless headphones and remote controllers, but it didn't seem to list "out-browsing" capabilities.

I'm nervous that this new purchase doesn't actually have the bluetooth capabilities that I thought it would have (based on the bluetooth functionality on my Mac Powerbook).

If there's a way I canget the Mini to open the directory on the phone andgrabthephoto files, I'd love to know it. But I'm not finding it right away.

Any tips would be great. I found one solution to another question on another forum that suggested the terminal command "hcitools scan" but when I had my phone bluetooth turnedon, this command did not find any device, even though the phone was able to find the computer in the other direction.

Is there something I need to turn on, on the Mini, to get it to scan other bluetooth devices?

Thanks for any help.
