Offline LED Light

My hp mini has been working great for months now but all of a sudden the online/offline switch wont turn on. It stays orange and won't turn blue. So the laptop is not recognizing the wireless connection. Its NOT a wireless router problem though. My desktop computer is run through my router and it works fine. PLEASE HELP :/
