    Do you mean that the copy of XP was found on the Internet?
    If so, you did remember to send Bill G. his license fee didn't you?

    Or did you mean you found the USB stick on the Internet?
    Or did you mean you found the directions for a USB stick install on the Internet?

    It is hard to tell from your post which situation you put yourself in.

    Try to do a clean install of Vista from the CD that came with your machine;
    If you are one of the people who didn't get a CD with the machine, call HP
    and ask for one.

    i used my old XP CD that i got with my old comp and searched for guide to install from USB(got from internet) and got XP installed but now i kinda need my old Vista but not pirate it. but for some reason it wont start system recovery anymore, it used to work tho, and i didnt get any install CDs because HP mini 2133 doesnt have CD drive, they said i could reinstall windows by pressing F11 like i did but now it wont work. I'm not sure if this will help but HP_RECORVERY (D doesnt seem to have anything in it even tho it almost full 6,95 GB out of 9,00 GB

    Your "old XP" may be too old or it may be a "vendor's cut" for the old
    computer, not the full MS installation CD.

    Yes, I know your hp-2133 does not have a CD drive. None of mine do.

    F11 is known not to work on many of the HP machines, that is why they will
    send you an installation CD when you ask.

    The mis-labeled "HP RECOVERY DVD" is the sources to the Linux installation, not much help in installing vista (a non-Linux OS).

    So just ask for your installation CD from HP, if they give you static, give them the link to their customer service site about F11 not working.
