So I have a mini 2140, which I bought with the pick-up-and-repair 3-year warranty, or whatever it is. It's recently developed a crack in a plastic component as well as in the screen (not in the viewing area, but close to a hinge). I figure the latter in particular is a good reason to send it in for servicing, but for now it's perfectly functional and I feel like I might want to allow it to accumulate more defects before having it fixed (just before the warranty expires). Does this seem like a good idea, or, considering the line's been discontinued, does it seem like I should send it in asap whenever a problem develops (in case they run out of spare parts or something)? It is only half a year into the warranty period thus far, so I'd be waiting another 2 years or so in the former case.
I think your warranty does not cover this kind of problems until you have a special plan with accident repair.
