well what i did was i had a copy of windows 2000 and had a usb cdrom loaded it in and started the format. as far as the drivers i downloaded them to a sd card and installed right off the card everything. also the ram on the laptops shows up as 1.88 gigs of ram not 1.75 like it did in windows xp. i am sure you can load windows 2000 to a usb memory stick and load it off that.
    Hi MARK,

Where did you get the graphic driver for win2k?

I have a Win2k Pro CD, so wondered how Win2k works with HP 2133 even XP Pro works very good(With XP Pro got 3dmark05 score 241, 3dmark06 118).

I installed the most recent graphics driver for win2k, 6.14.10.0193 8 Jun 2009(it is supposed for XP Pro only), from HP.com. It works well but always gives me a warning:can not locate sth with some dll(sorry I am in office so don't remember the exact warning) after reboot.

(In fact I installed server 2003 before, the performance is as good as XP Pro but not so convenient)

LAN works well after I installed the LAN driver from HP.com for XP Pro.
USB is very slow, most likely only USB1.0. I suppose there is a driver to boot up USB but don't know how.

Tried to install wireless but always got error "0" occurred bla bla.... The driver is from HP.com the most recent version(of course it is for XP).
Sound & Cam & BT not installed yet, too late last night.

As an alternative these vesa video drivers work really well on 2000
The machine is fast enough to give smooth fullscreen video with them.
