am not a big gamer - only ever played sims and wow. is there anything remotely like the sims out there, that i can play on this? to be honest, i'm more into dressing characters up and decorating houses than shooting things. yeah i'm a girl.

Sims 2 is way too strong for Hp 2133
try sims 1
sims 1 yeah i toyed with that idea (sims 1), but it really didn't look up to much. don't think i could enjoy it, unfortunately.
am looking forward to sims 3 and getting back to my other computer (am travelling around the world right now, hence the 2133). if i can't find something that works I guess I will just have to be patient!
i wanted to get my game on on my 2133, and decided to dig this thread up.
i wanted a comprehensive list of games that were good and wasn't a total disaster. looked up ign.com editor's choice games and started chronologically from the earliest date.
i totally forgot about all these old games from long ago. remember, when gameplay was foremost and graphics second!
in no particular order, the games i've tried so far that work without a hitch. by that i mean graphics maxed out, resolution maxed out (either 1024 x 768 or native 1280 x 768). their graphics hold up remarkably well at high resolution :

pharoah
red alert 2
age of empires 2
homeworld
homeworld 2
revolt
theme hospital
rollercoaster tycoon 2
railroad tycoon 3
dirt track racing 2
tropico
i'm currently hooked on tropico, what can be more fun than running your own tobacco-industry communist island!
i have the mini-note to thank for rekindling the flame in the games of yesteryear.
please feel free to add any other games that run well!

Both games excel on 2133 1.6 ghz with xp.
