Default HD Display (WXGA)

I have a 2140...and I like it so much, I'm on the lookout for another one now.

I know 2140 was discontinued. But I guess the replacement is 5101... Is this not available with the WXGA display?? Have they not made the HD display since the 2140? That's crazy.

5101 is available with lowres and highres displays. I have no idea what shortcut is used to describe the highres version, but mine shows 1366x768.

I wonder why it doesn't show it in the specs? And when you try to order one, it only shows 1024x600. Weird.

I'd be happy if there were a low-stress way of retrofitting the 2140 HD screen on an SD machine. I'm not speaking so much about the technical issues involved here (if any), as much as the challenges of finding a reasonably-priced 2140 HD panel.

Ideas?

If you had the part number you could possibly ask HP Sales.
