Does anyone know if you can put an intel atom 330 processor in the hp mini 1000? thanks!

In theory yes, but we live in real world and you would need to unsolder the processor and solder the new one by hand.

Well, by machine at least - there are hundreds of solder balls to deal with.

add in the power downsides:
- 2x silverthorne die
- Loss of C6

Then again, most netbooks today are saddled with a relatively high power chipset vs the core, so maybe nobody really cares.
