This seemed to come out of nowhere. Dell will be releasing a Mini 10 on Feb. 26. They've redesigned the shell (no more fugly speakers on the monitor) and added a couple very temping highlights, including:
- HDMI port
- HD screen (1366x768)
- Internal digital tv tuner (I'm assuming ATSC)
- GPS, Bluetooth and wifi-n
They do NOT mention integrated 3G support.
I for one am VERY interested with the internal digital tv turner option.
Is it worth holding out for instead of the HP 2140 HD? One concern is the lower powered CPU in the Mini 10 (which uses Z540/Z560 instead of N270), and use of GMA500 instead of GMA950 (which is a concern for those wanting to hackintosh their netbook)

pictures seem to indicate that the keyboard is similar in design to the HP keyboards. What was so awful about the Mini 9? Small keyboard?
Yeah, the 10 has a much better KB. The 9 had the row of Function keys halfway down the keyboard and the shift keys weren't any wider than others and the enter key was only slightly wider than other keys... Also some missing keys...

Also, one of the youtube vids I saw had a remark about the 10 having a fixed 1gig ram...
Don't get too excited, it says the HD screen, GPS etc will be available at a "later date".
For now it's the usual 1024x576 screen that's like looking at a web page through a letterbox...
Mike
The HD screen is now available on the Mini 10 for $35US ($50CAN) more.
I may have to get this guy considering the HD screen on the 2140 will be only available in the US. Who knows when it'd get here. I'd have to get a friend in TX to act as a shipping proxy to get it sooner. Dell has theirs in Canada right now.
The trade off would be that the Dell doesn't have a 6 cell batter option.
