In any case, I feel its 2009 and the idea of carrying around a colossal 17"+ laptop gets more and more ridiculous.

Lighter, smaller, faster and cheaper is the way tech has been going and I hope that the netbook size will be the norm and even incorporate an optical drive...

Well I'm not from english speaking country and that "upset" wasn't meant like offensive, or something. But everybodey where I look are people, who just still asking about HD vids on HP Mini note. Why? Why would some1 want to watch HD movies on 9' display? I know, resolution can be really good, but this is stil netbook, so it's not suppose to be main computer and if I had a choice for watching TV, I personaly would not choose netbook, especially for HD vids. That's my humble opinion.

Most people here bought their 2133's knowing beforehand that they were not capable of playing HD. But its quite normal for any computer geek to push their toy, whether desktop or laptop, to the limit.

Also, some downloads and previews might only be in HD. Imagine the embarrassment when a mate gives you a stick and says "Yo check this out, this movie's gunna be mad" and it won't play smooth on your book...

Even though I'm very impressed with Windows 7, I'll likely go back to XP so I can play all my vids...

For me, it would be :-

    1. A faster processor (currently running the 1.2GHz)
    2. A longer battery life

in other words, what else would make the 2133 the greatest
    i think hp should:

    - relocate the power button alongside the keyboard to eliminate accidental power ons while inside the case.
    - install a memory stick card.
    - provide vents at the topside and add some more for the underside.
    - install some heatpipes for the heat-producing components (processor, memory, hard disk, etc.).

    1. Dual Core Processor
    2. Back-lit keyboard
    3. Built-in 3G
    4. 1280x768 LED backlit screen

Are the enhancements I want to see soon.

I can confirm for you that the HP2140 I have sitting in front of me is IMHO the best 'Road Warrior' notebook/netbook/mini notebook there is at this. I have a Dell D620 that I have had for over two years and carried (no lugged) with me on various trips, business meetings or for pleasure time outs. The HP2140 does everything I have set my D620 up to do for me and it does it while giving me the same battery time from a single 3 cell battery vs having two batteries installed on the D620. My HP2140 has the same amount of RAM (2gb in my case) and hard drive (both have 128gb SSD drives) and OS (Win XP). One weighs 2.5 pounds vs the other topping out at just under 7 pounds.

    -10" - 1280x800 NON-glossy screen (not some stupid 1366x768)
-Nano (1.2GHz single core would be enough IMO)
-nvidia chipset with graphics comparable to integrated gf7050 or at least 30% of it

... and it would be PERFECT

Agreed! It needs to have at least the resolution of the 2133.
    Cheers,
