HP have announced that a massive update for their Mini range of netbooks. The HP Mini 210 is getting a major refresh with a new Intel Atom N550 dual-core CPU as well as a major redesign in the trunk. Don't fret though, the beautiful chiclet-style keyboard, modern design and also Broadcom Crystal accelerator options are all still there.

The new HP Mini 210 will be available in both single-core and dual core options starting from $330.

The business-orientated Mini 5103 is also getting a similar upgrade to the Atom N550, as well as now coming with HPs instant-on OS, "Day Starter", although chances are you will stick with a vanilla OS install. These updates will bring the HP Mini line up with competitors such as Asus and Lenovo.
I've got a hp mini 2140. I just lost my SC card reader cover dummy card - that grey platic, that looks like a SD card, and the outside part fits into the cover.

Does anyone has a spare part? And willing to sell it to me?

Thanks,

Hi

Just purchased a HP Mini 210 from a vendor in South Korea. For the initial setup, there a screen that allows to choose between Korean XP and English XP, home editions. Selecting the English option, prompts screen 2, asking to press f10 to continue if these are the options you want. Nothing happens when you do. Is it something to do with the dual function of f10 (volume +)? I tried shift+f10, nut nothing. Any ideas?

I'm trying to get Diablo 2 to run on my HP Mini 110. I purchased the digital version from Blizzard's website. I installed it and when I try to start-up the game it displays a black screen with a small flashing white box in the top left corner and then it closes out. When I run the video test, it says I can not run the game and no video modes were found. Anyone have similar trouble and find a solution?

HP Mini 110
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (build 2600)
Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N270 @ 1.60GHz (2 CPUs)
1016 MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family
Intel GMA 950
1024 x 576 (32 bit) (60Hz)
IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

I just discovered that it seems to run fine when I force it to run in windowed mode if that gives any clues. So maybe a problem with the full screen resolution? I'd really like to play in full screen... Lol.

Installed Windows as a) stuck a new SSD drive in which had TRIM support and b) knew I would want to test with the Broadcom HD card c) although Karmic was great for me on HP2133, Lucid just felt sluggish with Compiz.

I'm ready to give Lucid another go, if someone else can report they got all the video drivers working just fine, and feel Lucid is 'fast enough' for them.

Hi guys,

I bought yesterday a mini 110-3018, it cam preloaded with Windows 7 starter.

I also have a RECOVERY partition created, that probably contains all the necessary to restore to factory default. I would like to get that out of my mini so I'll be able to try some other OS and came back to the factory default if anything goes wrong....

Thanks
